Women's Lacrosse Excels In IWLCA Academic Awards

CHAPEL HILL—Eight University of North Carolina women's lacrosse players earned spots on the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced this week.
Tar Heels to earn the prestigious honor include Amanda Fedor, Katie Hoeg, Maddie Hoffer, Kimber Hower, Ally Mastroianni, Maggie Skillman, Emma Trenchard and Tayler Warehime.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Nationwide, the IWLCA honored 862 student-athletes from 103 different institutions on the 2021 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
Additionally, the IWLCA named UNC as an Academic Honor Squad for the 2020-21 academic year, making Carolina one of 319 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA to do so. To qualify for this honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
