Dillon & Kania Win Doubles Title At Elon Fall Invitational

ELON, N.C.—The University of North Carolina's Mark Dillon and Casey Kania teamed up to win the the championship in the Gold Doubles bracket at the Elon Fall Invitational on Sunday, beating Codie Van Schalwk and Oliver Nolan of Old Dominion, 6-2, in the men's tennis title match.
The championship marked the first collegiate doubles title for both Dillon, a junior, and Kania, a freshman. Nolan, a transfer to ODU, previously was an ITA Fall Nationals doubles champion while competing at UNC Asheville.
Dillon and Kania advanced to the championship match with back-to-back wins on Friday over teams from UNC Asheville and Radford.
