CHAPEL HILL – The Diamond Heels' 2021 recruiting class has been ranked among the nation's best by DI Baseball, landing at No. 22 to give UNC its third consecutive Top 25 class.
The class is anchored by a foursome of transfers led by 2021 National Junior College Athletic Association Player-of-the-Year Alberto Osuna of Walters State College. He finished the season batting .459 with 25 home runs and leading the nation with 107 RBI in 68 games. Osuna ranked as the outlet's No. 2 junior college transfer entering the fall.
The Tar Heels secured a second Top 15 juco transfer with the signing of left-handed pitcher Brandon Schaeffer from WVU Potomac State Junior College. Schaeffer, who was D1 Baseball's No. 11 juco transfer, averaged nearly 15 strikeouts per nine innings last season, fanning 79 hitters in 47.2 innings.

Segui (No. 32) and Flynn (No. 57) each ranked among the top 60 prospects in Florida according to the outlet.
