Heels Return To Action On Sunday

Chapel Hill, NC --Â After taking Saturday off due to weather issues, the North Carolina Tar Heels returned to action on Sunday with a five-and-a-half-inning scrimmage that saw Navy take a 3-2 win over Blue.
Navy went ahead 1-0 in the second as Joe Jaconski's double to left drove in Tyler Causey. Blue responded in the bottom of the inning when Max Riemer drilled a 382-foot, two-run homer to right center.
Navy tied the score in the fourth on Joe Jaconski's 367-foot solo homer to right. Angel Zarate drove in Mac Horvath with a single to right in the fifth for the scrimmage-winning run.
Jaconski and Riemer were the only players with multiple base hits. Jaconski was 2-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Colbey Wilkerson had a double and Zarate and Brandon Eike both had singles. Blue had only two hits, Riemer's homer and a Hunter Stokely single
Connor Bovair started on the mound for Navy and gave up two runs in 2.1 innings while striking out three and giving up juse one base hit. Alden Segui, Carson Starnes and Caden O'Brien threw in relief for Navy and gave up no runs on just one hit.
Shaddon Peavyhouse stared for Blue and gave up one run. Caleb Cozart, Kyle Mott and Davis Palermo threw in relief. Mott and Palermo each threw a scoreless inning.
