Women's Lacrosse Releases 2022 Schedule

CHAPEL HILL—Head coach Jenny Levy and the University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team have released the squad's 2022 schedule.
The five-time defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion Tar Heels will open the season at James Madison on Saturday February 12. Their first home game will come on Wednesday February 16 at Dorrance Field against Furman.
In all, the regular season schedule includes eight home games and seven road dates. The home slate features ACC matchups against Louisville, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Duke and non-conference games with the Paladins, Jacksonville, Northwestern and Mercer.
Carolina's road ACC games are at Pittsburgh, Boston College, Syracuse and Virginia. UNC also is playing non-conference road games at JMU, Florida and High Point.
With the addition of Pitt as a ninth conference team competing in women's lacrosse, there's a new ACC Tournament format in 2022.
Notre Dame will host first-round, quarterfinal and semifinal games on its campus on April 27, 29 and May 1, respectively. The highest remaining seed in the final will host the ACC championship game on its campus, in change from past years' tournament formats.
