WILMINGTON, N.C. - The UNC men's and women's swimming and diving team swept a dual meet from UNCW at Allen Natatorium Friday, winning 29 of 32 events overall. The men posted a 195-100 victory while the women recorded a 188-107 triumph.

Both Tar Heel squads improved to 2-0 in dual meet competition this season, while the UNCW ladies feel to 3-3 and the men dropped to 1-4.

Grace Countie, Emma Karam, and Ellie VanNote combined to set five natatorium women's records.

Countie set pool records in the 100-yard backstroke (52.80) and the 50-yard freestyle (22.47), VanNote in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.36) and 100-yard butterfly (53.95) and Karam in the 200-yard backstroke (1:59.75).

Skyler Smith was also a multi-event winner on the women's side, touching first in the 100 (1:02.33) and 200-yard (2:18.80) breaststroke events.

Carolina claimed the top three spots in both diving events with Aranza Vazquez posting a first-place score of 320.33 in the one-meter competition and 367.20 in the three-meter event.

Louis Dramm led the UNC men's team with three individual victories, capturing first-place in the 500 (4:32.41) and 1000-yard (9:21.73) freestyle as well as the 200-yard IM (1:50.35).

Dylan Citta and Nick Radkov each claimed a pair of individual victories with Citta sweeping the breaststroke races and Radkov winning the 100 (45.25) and 200-yard (1:38.53) freestyle.

Radkov edged teammate Tomas Sungaila to win both events by the narrowest of margins. He was 0.11 faster in the 100 free and three-tenths of a second faster in the 100 free.

The Tar Heels also swept the top three places in the men's diving events with Anton Down-Jenkins winning the one-meter (390.75) and three-meter (374.33) competitions.

North Carolina returns action Nov. 5 against South Carolina at Koury Natatorium. The meet is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.
