Babic Earns Third Straight ACC Freshman-Of-The-Week Honor

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Freshman setter Anita Babic has been named the ACC Freshman of the Week for the third week in a row, the conference office announced on Monday. It is the third weekly honor of Babic's career and the fifth weekly award of the season for the Tar Heels.

Babic ran the offense in Carolina's two matches over the weekend, tallying 67 assists and averaging 8.38 assists per set. She also had 18 digs, three service aces, three blocks and six kills.

Against Clemson on Sunday, the Phoenix, Az., native recorded her fourth career double-double with 40 assists and 10 digs. It was the seventh time this season she has had 40 assists or more in a match.

Babic currently ranks No. 6 in the ACC in assists, averaging 8.76 assists per set on the season.
