Women’s Lacrosse Announces 2023 Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Following an undefeated season which saw University of North Carolina women's lacrosse clinch its third national title in program history last year, head coach Jenny Levy has announced the team's schedule for the upcoming 2023 campaign.
The schedule features nine home games at Dorrance Field as well as matchups with eight teams ranked in the top 18 a season ago.
The Tar Heels begin their 2023 slate with a three-game home stretch as they host nonconference foes James Madison (Feb. 11), Liberty (Feb. 15) and Florida (Feb. 18). The team then faces its first road test against Virginia Tech on Feb. 24 in Blacksburg, Va., for the Atlantic Coast Conference opener.
UNC hosts Boston College on March 4 for a repeat of last year's national title game before welcoming Virginia to Dorrance Field on March 11. The Tar Heels then trek to Louisville, Ky., to play the Cardinals on March 16 before heading up to Evanston, Ill., for a national semifinal rematch with Northwestern on March 19.
In its inaugural season, Clemson will make the trip to Chapel Hill for the first-ever game between the Tigers and Tar Heels on March 26. Games also taking place at Dorrance Field include Pitt (April 7) and Syracuse (April 15) while UNC is set to travel to South Bend, Ind., for a tilt with Notre Dame on April 1.
The regular season wraps up against Duke with the 43rd edition of the Tobacco Road rivalry taking place in Durham on April 20.
The 2023 ACC Tournament kicks off April 23 with first round contests hosted at campus sites. All quarterfinal (April 26) and semifinal (April 28) games, as well as the championship (April 30), will be held at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
In conjunction with the Town of Cary, North Carolina is set to host the NCAA Championship at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. The semifinal is set for May 26 with the national title game being held on May 28.
