Diamond Heels Announce 2023 Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of North Carolina baseball team will play 36 games at Boshamer Stadium – 14 of which will come against teams that advanced to the 2022 NCAA Tournament – as part of its 2023 56-game schedule announced Wednesday.
In total, the Tar Heels will play 23 games against teams that made the postseason last year, including nine versus opponents that advanced to a Super Regional (East Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech) – five of which will be on the road.
Coming off an ACC Tournament championship and Super Regional appearance, UNC will play 21 of its 26 non-conference games at Boshamer Stadium, hosting NCAA regional opponents Campbell, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, and VCU.
North Carolina will open the season with a five-game homestand starting with a three-game series against Seton Hall, beginning Friday, Feb. 17, followed by a pair of midweek games before taking on East Carolina for a three-game series during the final weekend of February. The first two games will be played in Greenville and the third game at Boshamer Stadium.
UNC will close out February and open March with back-to-back home games against VCU before playing its final non-conference weekend series at home against Stony Brook.
The Tar Heels' non-conference slate also includes home-and-home series with Charlotte and Coastal Carolina with single games against Campbell, Gardner-Webb, High Point, Longwood, North Carolina A&T, Penn State, Queens, Radford, and Western Carolina at Boshamer Stadium.
North Carolina will take on South Carolina in Charlotte on April 4.
UNC will open ACC play on Friday, March 10 with three-game home series against Virginia (March 10-12) followed by a road weekend at Pittsburgh (March 17-19).
The Tar Heels' ACC home schedule also includes three-game series versus Duke (March 23-25), Miami (April 13-15), Boston College (April 21-23), and NC State (May 11-13), while their road slate includes trips to Notre Dame (March 31- April 2), Georgia Tech (April 6-8), Virginia Tech (April 28-30) and Clemson (May 18-20).
UNC will not play Florida State, Louisville, or Wake Forest during the regular season.
The 2023 ACC Baseball Championship will be held May 23-38 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, N.C.
