Meet The Diamond Heels: Owen Flynn

This installment of the 16-part Meet The Diamond Heels series features Florida native Owen Flynn. He played his senior season at TNXL Academy in Ocoee, Fla., after earning three letters for coach Eric Lassiter at Windermere High School.

Recently ranked as the No. 22 recruiting class in the country by DI Baseball, Carolina's crop of newcomers includes 12 freshmen and four transfers. Flynn came to UNC ranked as the one of the top 400 players nationally and among the top 130 right-handed pitchers.

Flynn was selected as one of the top 50 players in the Class of 2021 by Max Preps and was a second team All-Florida Region player. He also received All-America honorable mention accolades from Perfect Game.

He is the son of Katina and Freddy Flynn and has a younger sister, Ella. He graduated with a 4.7 GPA and was a member of the National Honor Society.
