Meet The Diamond Heels: Dylan King

The latest installment of the16-part Meet The Diamond Heels series features Florida native Dylan King. He committed to Carolina in January 2019 as a sophomore at American Heritage Delray in Boca Raton.
Recently ranked as the No. 22 recruiting class in the country by DI Baseball, Carolina's crop of newcomers includes 12 freshmen and four transfers. King came to UNC ranked as the one of the top 500 players nationally as well as one of the country's top 50 prep catchers. He was a top 70 player in Florida and the state's sixth-ranked catching prospect.

As a senior for coach Carm Mazza, King was tabbed Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-Florida Region Second Team. Helped American Heritage win three district titles and one regional championship in addition to participating in the 2020 Perfect Game National Showcase.

Born in Chicago, Ill., he is the son of Erin and Brad King and has a younger brother, Jordan.
