Men's Soccer Announces Spring Slate

CHAPEL HILL - The University of North Carolina men's soccer team will play five matches this spring, including2021 National Champion Clemson and College Cup participant Georgetown.
The Tar Heels will open the spring against reigning NCAA champion and ACC foe Clemson on Saturday, March 5 at Riggs Field in Clemson, S.C. with a 2 p.m. kickoff time. Three weeks later, Carolina will face Duke in Durham before hosting national semifinalist Georgetown the following week.
Each of the Tar Heels' first three opponents are part of the 10-team field for the 2022 Spring Soccer Cup which culminates in Winston-Salem on April 10. At the end of the three league matches, the final matches at Spry Stadium will be determined with the 10 programs being seeded.
In addition to the aforementioned teams, the annual showcase of some of the country's elite programs also includes Maryland, NC State, Pitt, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. These 10 programs over the last four seasons have combined to earn 30 NCAA Tournaments bids, eight College Cup appearances and three National Championships.
The spring schedule concludes with the Tar Heels hosting Liberty on April 14.
