Five Tar Heels Selected for FH Pro League European Tour

Five Tar Heels are among the 22 players selected to the travel roster for the start of the FIH Hockey Pro League later this month. The No. 15 U.S. Women's National Team will travel to Germany and the Netherlands for four matches.
Current Carolina team members Meredith Sholder, Cassie Sumfest and Paityn Wirth all were named to the roster, along with alums Ashley Hoffman and Lauren Moyer.
Out of the 22 players traveling to Europe, a competition roster of 18 will be selected for each game.
The U.S. will first travel to Germany, playing two games against the fifth-ranked German team at the Sparkassen Park in Mönchengladbach on March 26 and 27.
Next the U.S. heads to the Netherlands to take on the top-ranked Dutch team at the Wagener Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen on April 2 and 3.
This tour kicks off FIH Hockey Pro League play for 2022. After this trip, the U.S. will travel to Argentina for games on April 16 and 17 then will host England at UNC's Karen Shelton Stadium on April 23 and 24.
