• RJ Davis is the first Tar Heel to have 10 or more assists in one NCAA Tournament game and 30 points in the next (Joel Berry II in 2016 and Kenny Smith twice in 1987 had double-figure assists followed by 20-point games). Davis had a career-high 12 assists vs. Marquette and a career-high 30 points vs. Baylor. His previous scoring high was 26 this season vs. Brown.

• Davis is the 13th Tar Heel to score 30 points in an NCAA game, joining George Glamack, Tyler Hansbrough, Mitch Kupchak, Bobby Lewis, Robert McAdoo, Mike O'Koren, J.R. Reid, Lennie Rosenbluth (twice), Charlie Scott (twice), Shammond Williams, Al Wood and Tyler Zeller.

• Davis scored 17 in the first half, 10 in the second and three in overtime on a three-point play with 1:18 to play that gave UNC a 91-85 lead.

• Davis made five of his eight field goals from three-point range (his third game this season and career with five or more) and made a career-high nine free throws. The five threes equal the fourth most in an NCAA Tournament game by a Tar Heel.

• Armando Bacot had 15 points, 16 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. It was his 27th double-double, extending his UNC single-season record and the second-most in a season in ACC history (Wake Forest's Tim Duncan had 29 as a senior in 1996-97).              Â
• Bacot extended his UNC record for rebounds in an season to 438, the seventh most in ACC history.

• Bacot is tied with Fardaws Aimaq of Utah State for second in the country with 27 double-doubles. Kentucky's Oscar Tshiebwe finished his season with 28.

• Bacot has 1,240 career points. He passed Harrison Barnes, Joe Wolf and James Michael McAdoo for 56th place in UNC history.

• Freshman Dontrez Styles scored a season-high nine points (previous was vs. Florida State). His three-pointer 24 seconds into OT gave UNC an 83-80 lead and was his third of the season (also made threes at Miami and at Virginia Tech).
