• This was the first time UNC beat the defending NCAA champion in the NCAA Tournament.

• RJ Davis is the first Tar Heel to have 10 or more assists in one NCAA Tournament game and 30 points in the next (Joel Berry II in 2016 and Kenny Smith twice in 1987 had double-figure assists followed by 20-point games). Davis had a career-high 12 assists vs. Marquette and a career-high 30 points vs. Baylor. His previous scoring high was 26 this season vs. Brown.

• Davis is the 13th Tar Heel to score 30 points in an NCAA game, joining George Glamack, Tyler Hansbrough, Mitch Kupchak, Bobby Lewis, Robert McAdoo, Mike O'Koren, J.R. Reid, Lennie Rosenbluth (twice), Charlie Scott (twice), Shammond Williams, Al Wood and Tyler Zeller.

• Davis scored 17 in the first half, 10 in the second and three in overtime on a three-point play with 1:18 to play that gave UNC a 91-85 lead.

• Davis made five of his eight field goals from three-point range (his third game this season and career with five or more) and made a career-high nine free throws. The five threes equal the fourth most in an NCAA Tournament game by a Tar Heel.

• Armando Bacot had 15 points, 16 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. It was his 27th double-double, extending his UNC single-season record and the second-most in a season in ACC history (Wake Forest's Tim Duncan had 29 as a senior in 1996-97).

• Bacot extended his UNC record for rebounds in an season to 438, the seventh most in ACC history.

• Bacot is tied with Fardaws Aimaq of Utah State for second in the country with 27 double-doubles. Kentucky's Oscar Tshiebwe finished his season with 28.

• Bacot has 1,240 career points. He passed Harrison Barnes, Joe Wolf and James Michael McAdoo for 56th place in UNC history.

• This was the eighth game this season Bacot had 16 or more rebounds.

• Freshman Dontrez Styles scored a season-high nine points (previous was vs. Florida State). His three-pointer 24 seconds into OT gave UNC an 83-80 lead and was his third of the season (also made threes at Miami and at Virginia Tech).

• Styles played 24 minutes and 57 seconds. His previous longest stint was 15 minutes against Florida State on February 12.

• Styles was 4 for 7 from the floor and had five rebounds, an assist and two steals. His four field goals and two steals were season highs and he tied his season highs in three-pointers and assists.

• Carolina had 22 assists on 28 field goals today and had 51 assists on 62 field goals in the two games in Fort Worth (82.3%).

• Carolina led by 13 at half and 25 in the second half before Baylor closed regulation on a 38-13 run to tie the game.

• UNC has never lost an NCAA Tournament game when it led by double figures at halftime. UNC is now 45-0 in those games.

• Carolina is 20-0 this season and has won 28 straight when leading at the half.

• If Baylor had won, Carolina's 25-point lead with 10:09 to play would have been the largest ever in a UNC loss. The record is 24 against
Florida State on Jan. 22, 2004. The most an opponent ever trailed by in the second half in a UNC loss was 22 by Maryland on Jan. 8, 1997.

• Brady Manek scored 26 points (had 28 vs. Marquette). Other Tar Heels with at least 26 in consecutive NCAA games: Lennie Rosenbluth 1957, Phil Ford 1977, JR Reid 1987 and Michael Jordan in 1983 and 1984.

• Manek made five threes vs. Marquette and four vs. Baylor.

• This was the fifth time in the last six games Manek scored 20 or more points (22 vs. Syracuse, 20 at Duke, 21 vs. Virginia, 28 vs. Marquette and 26 vs. Baylor).

• Leaky Black had six assists. UNC is 16-1 this season when he has three or more and 14-2 in his career when he has five or more assists.

• Bacot, Black, Davis, Styles and Justin McKoy played the entire overtime.

• Carolina has won 14 of its last 17 games.

• Carolina is 3-0 in overtime this season (at Louisville, Syracuse and Baylor) and 6-3 in NCAA Tournament games. This was UNC's first overtime game in the NCAA Tournament since beating Ohio in the Sweet 16 in St. Louis in 2012.

• This is the first time UNC has scored 90 or more points in consecutive NCAA Tournament games since 2008 when the Tar Heels beat Mt. St. Mary's, 113-74, and Arkansas, 103-77, in the first and second rounds in Raleigh.

• Carolina made 13 three-pointers vs. Marquette and 11 vs. Baylor. Prior to this season UNC made 11 or threes in an NCAA Tournament game six times with a previous high of 12 vs. Oakland in 2005.

• Baylor forced 21 Tar Heel turnovers. That is the most Carolina turnovers in an NCAA Tournament game since beating Ohio in the Sweet 16 (also in overtime) in St. Louis in 2012. UNC had 24 in that game vs. Ohio.

• The 21 turnovers were the most in any game by UNC this season (18 vs. UNC Asheville).

• The 25 points the Bears scored off UNC's turnovers were the most in a Carolina victory this season (previous high in wins were 22 points by NC State in Raleigh). The 25 points were the most scored by the opponents since Miami had 30 in a 28-point Miami win on January 18.

• Carolina held Baylor to 34.6% from the floor. UNC is 21-0 this season when the opponents shoot 45% or under from the floor and
13-0 when the opponents shoot under 40%.

• Carolina has won 17 straight games when holding the opponents under 40% from the floor.

NCAA Tournament
• Hubert Davis is 2-0 as head coach in the NCAA Tournament. He is the second UNC head coach (with Bill Guthridge) to win two NCAA Tournament games in his first season as a head coach.
• UNC is 128-48 in the NCAA Tournament (9-4 in fifth appearance as a No. 8 seed).
• UNC is second all-time in NCAA wins, one behind Kentucky's NCAA record.
• UNC is 31-13 in the round of 32, including 24-8 since the field expanded to at least 64 teams in 1985.
• This is the 37th time the Tar Heels will play in the regional semifinals (the 35th time in the round of 16).
• UNC is 9-7 in the state of Texas in NCAA Tournament play.

• UNC is 1-1 against UCLA in the NCAA Tournament. Senior Jeff Lebo (12 points and four assists) and freshman Hubert Davis played for UNC in the 1989 game.
