Five Tar Heels Set For International Play On Home Turf

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – UNC field hockey fans can catch five Tar Heels in international action at Karen Shelton Stadium this weekend as the U.S. takes on England in a pair of FIH Hockey Pro League games.
Games are set for Saturday and Sunday, with 2 p.m. starts both days. Tickets are available here in advance or at the game.
The Tar Heels competing represent the past, present and future of the program. Lauren Moyer played for Carolina from 2013-16; Erin Matson, Cassie Sumfest and Paityn Wirth all were starters on the 2021 squad; and Ashley Sessa is an incoming freshman.
Tickets that cover admission for both the Saturday and Sunday games are $30 for adults and $15 for youth (17 and under). Single-game admission is $20 for adults, $10 for youth. All seats are general admission.
Sessa is among five players making FIH Hockey Pro League debuts this weekend. The other four Tar Heels have played in Europe or South America this spring. Ashley Hoffman and Meredith Sholder also have played in the Pro League this spring but are not part of the roster for this weekend.
