Men's Soccer Faces VT In Spring Cup Championship

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina will take on Virginia Tech in the championship match of the 2022 Spring Soccer Cup on Sunday, April 10, at 4:15 p.m. at Spry Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest University.
The Tar Heels earned their way into the championship match by posting wins over reigning NCAA champion Clemson (2-0), College Cup participant Georgetown (2-1) and Duke (2-0) this spring.
Wake Forest and Virginia will face off in the third-place match at 2 p.m. with three other matches also taking place throughout the day.

- Pitt vs. Maryland, 12 p.m., Spry Stadium
- Duke vs. Georgetown, 12 p.m., Spry Practice Field No. 1
- NC State vs. Clemson, 4:15 p.m., Spry Practice Field No. 1
Together, these 10 programs over the last four seasons have combined to earn 30 NCAA Tournaments bids, eight College Cup appearances and three National Championships.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase here. All seating is general admission. Seating on the Walt Chyzowych Alumni Hill is free. Children three and under do not need a ticket to enter if sitting on a lap; if their own seat is needed a ticket should be purchased.
