2022 Final Four Memories

The 2021-22 Tar Heels made one of the most memorable runs in recent NCAA Tournament history. In less than a month, Carolina exploded from a bubble team some national pundits doubted deserved a bid to the Tournament to the hottest group in the country.
In a magical March, UNC won at No. 4 Duke and spoiled the final home game in the career of the longtime Blue Devil head coach, made an improbable sprint to the Final Four as a No. 8 seed by beating Marquette, fourth-ranked Baylor and 11th-ranked UCLA and beat Duke AGAIN, this time in the national semifinals in the schools' first-ever NCAA Tournament meeting.
First-year head coach Hubert Davis led the Tar Heels to wins in 11 of their last 13 games, earning National Coach of the Year honors in the process.
