Baseball To Host Arkansas In Super Regional

CHAPEL HILL – Tenth-seeded North Carolina will host Arkansas in the Chapel Hill Super Regional starting on Saturday, June 11 at 11 a.m. at Boshamer Stadium, the NCAA announced Tuesday morning. Game two will be on Sunday, June 12 at 1 p.m. If necessary, game three will be on Monday, June 13 but a time has not yet been determined. Game one will be televised on ESPN while game two can be seen on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The Heels (42-19), winners of the ACC Tournament, emerged from the Chapel Hill Regional to appear in the 10th Super Regional in school history. Arkansas (41-19) captured the Stillwater Regional, defeating overall No. 7 national seed Oklahoma State in the championship game.Â

The Tar Heels are 0-1 all-time against Arkansas, with the lone meeting coming during the 1989 College World Series and Razorbacks posting a 7-3 victory.
