Eleven Tar Heels Named 2022 NFCA Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky.– The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has announced its annual Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2021-22 academic year, with the Tar Heels earning 11 selections.
Abby Settlemyre, Bri Stubbs, Carlie Myrtle, Destiny Middleton, Gaby Katz, Isabela Emerling, Kiannah Pierce, Kiersten Licea, Regan Weisner, Sara Jubas and Shayla Thompson each earned All-America Scholar-Athlete honors after finishing the 2021-22 school year with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Stubbs, Middleton and Jubas were also part of the 2022 All-ACC Academic Team announced in June.
