CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Carolina volleyball program has announced the addition of Emani' Foster, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter graduate transfer, to the 2023 roster. Foster comes to Chapel Hill after three years at Charlotte with two years of eligibility.
Foster, a Henderson, N.C, native, was a three-time all-conference selection and a three-year starter for the Miners. She led Charlotte in total kills two of the last three seasons and was the team's leader in kills per set all three years.
Foster started all 27 games for the Miners as a junior in 2022, leading the team in kills (502) and kills per set (4.92), was second on the team in digs (227) and service aces (22) and tallied 56 total blocks. She registered double-digit kills in 26 of 27 matches and had 20 or more kills in 11 matches.
Foster earned AVCA All-South Region honors in December for the second season in a row, just the ninth player in program history to earn all-region honors. Other honors in her career include being named the 2020-21 Conference USA Freshman of the Year, earning C-USA Freshman of the Week honors six times and becoming the first player in Charlotte program history to be named AVCA National Player of the Week.
She finished her Charlotte career with 1,065 kills, 559 digs, 108 total blocks, 25 solo blocks, 83 block assists, 70 service aces and averaged 4.57 kills per set.
Foster will graduate from Charlotte in May with a degree in psychology and a minor in biology. She will enroll in the Fall in graduate school in the Biomedical and Health Informatics program.
