Eaise Named To Midseason Stopper Watch List

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – UNC right-handed pitcher Kevin Eaise has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Midseason Stopper of the Year Watch List. Eaise is one of 56 relief pitchers from across the nation to be named to the list.
A graduate transfer from the University of Pennsylvania, Eaise owns a 2.68 ERA in 37.0 innings pitched with five saves. He has fanned 45 total hitters for an average of 1.21 strikeouts per inning and 10.9 per nine innings.
The NCBWA will announce the finalists on Wednesday, June 7 with the winner of the 18th annual NCWBA Stopper of the Year award being named on Friday, June 16 at the 2023 College World Series.
Eaise and the Tar Heels return to action on Friday, April 28, when they travel to Blacksburg, Va., to take on Virginia Tech in the first game of a three-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
