Horvath Tabbed First Team All-America

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – UNC junior outfielder Mac Horvath was named First Team All-America by Perfect Game and voted third-team by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), the respective organizations announced this week.
Horvath is the 27th different Tar Heel to earn first-team All-America honors and the first since Aaron Sabato in 2019.

The Rochester, Minn., native finished the 2023 season ranked 11th nationally in total home runs (24) and 20th in runs (73) and total bases (170). He was one of eight players to conclude the year with 20 or more home runs and more than 20 stolen bases (25).

A first-team all-region and second-team all-conference selection, Horvath ranked among the top 10 in the ACC in seven offensive categories, finishing second in home runs and stolen bases.

His 24 home runs this year rank as the second-highest single-season total in UNC history, while his 47 career blasts are third.
