Six Tar Heels Tabbed To IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Six University of North Carolina women's lacrosse players landed on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division I Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon.
Tar Heels earning the prestigious honor include Julia Dorsey, Nicole Humphrey, Livi Lawton, Emily Nalls, Brooklyn Neumen and Mason Paradine. Dorsey, Nalls and Neumen garnered IWLCA Academic Honor Roll recognition for the second straight year.
To be eligible for the award, recipients must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic grade-point average of 3.50 or greater. In total, the IWLCA honored 941 student-athletes from 96 different institutions.Â
Additionally, the IWLCA named North Carolina as an Academic Honor Squad for the 2022-23 year, one of 289 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA to earn the accolade. To qualify for this honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
