Transfer Pitcher Britton Rogers Joins Carolina Softball

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Right-handed pitcher Britton Rogers is the newest member of the Carolina softball team, head coach Megan Smith Lyon announced on Thursday. Rogers arrives in Chapel Hill after three seasons at Georgia with two years of eligibility.
A Cypress, Texas, native, Rogers held 11-6 record in the circle with the Bulldogs, throwing 125.1 innings in 49 appearances with 100 strikeouts. Rogers pitched 91.2 as a sophomore in 2022, posting a 10-2 record with three complete games, one complete game shutout against Gardner-Webb, and 80 strikeouts. She's also tallied three career saves.
Rogers was a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member as well as a Softball SAAC Representative and a Georgia Way Ambassador.
Rogers is the daughter of Courtney and Chad Rogers and has a younger brother Barrett. Her mother, Courtney Blades-Rogers, played collegiate softball at Nicholls State and then Southern Mississippi, finishing her career with 1,773 strikeouts (fifth-most in NCAA history), ranking second all-time with 215 wins and holding the NCAA softball record for 52 victories in a season. Rogers' father, Chad, was also a pitcher at Southern Miss on the baseball team.
