Carolina Athletics Announces Title Changes Across Multiple Units

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.— In coordination with the recent refresh of the department's strategic plan, "Together We Win," University of North Carolina Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham has announced title changes for staff members across multiple units to foster development, innovation and alignment throughout UNC's 28-sport program.
"As college athletics continues to evolve, so does our talented, dedicated department,'' Cunningham said. "Duties shift, needs expand and it is important to adjust our titles and structure to reflect those changes. Our goal is to provide an outstanding experience for more than 800 Tar Heel student-athletes each year, and these outstanding individuals help lead that effort every day."
Eight individuals have been named Associate Directors of Athletics:
Carolina enters the 2023-24 academic year with 60 national titles in its history, including three last year (Field Hockey NCAA, and Women's Tennis NCAA and ITA). The Tar Heels finished eighth in the Learfield Directors Cup in 2022-23, their fourth consecutive top-10 finish.

- Matt Bowers (Website Management/Media Relations)
- Jamesha Clanton (Business Operations/Football)
