Navy Takes A 4-1 Win On Thursday

Chapel Hill, NC --Â Three Navy pitchers held the Blue squad to one run as Navy took a 4-1 win in a six-inning scrimmage on Thursday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
Navy picked up its first run on Parks Harber's sacrifice fly to center in the first. Johnny Castagnozzi's run-scoring single put Navy up 2-0 in the third before Eliot Dix's sacrifice fly to right made it 3-0 in the fourth.
Blue picked up its only run of the day in the fifth on Casey Cook's double down the right field line. Luke Stevenson's sacrifice fly to right in the sixth completed the day's scoring.
Three players had multiple base hits. Castagnozzi was 2-2 with one RBI, while Navy teammate Carter French was 2-2. Casey Cook was 2-3 with one RBI to lead Blue
Boston Flannery, Harrison Lewis and Matt Yokum saw action on the mound for Navy. Flanney hurled 3.0 scoreless innings by giving up two hits and striking out two. Lewis gave up one run in 2.0 innings, while Yokum threw one scoreless inning, walking two but striking out three.
Olin Johnson, Francesco Capocci, Luke Osteen and Hugh Collins threw for Blue. Osteen threw a scoreless inning, striking out two in the process.
