Fencing Opens 2024 Season On Road At Penn State Duals

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Carolina men and women's fencing teams return to action for the first time in 2024 on Sunday at the Penn State Duals in University Park, Pa.

The day will kick off at 9:45 a.m. at the Multi-Sport Facility and will feature competition from Penn, Temple, Columbia, Haverford, Yale and Penn State.

On the men's side, the Tar Heels enter the match ranked No. 14 according to the US Fencing Coaches Association SPI rankings. They will be competing against five other teams ranked within the top-25: No. 2 Columbia, No. 5 Yale, No. 7 Penn State, No. 8 Penn and No. 21 Haverford.

The Carolina women's team ranks No. 15 and will face compete against four other teams ranked within the top-25: No. 3 Columbia, No. 12 Penn, No. 20 Penn State, No. 21 Temple.
