CHARLOTTE, N.C. – On Monday, Oct. 28, senior Mabrey Shaffmaster earned her first Atlantic Coast Conference accolade of the season. The ACC named Shaffmaster the Offensive Player of the Week.

Monday's honor is Shaffmaster's first weekly conference award since Nov. 29, 2021.

Shaffmaster was instrumental in Carolina's sweep of No. 19 Florida State University and the University of Miami. In both matches, the senior moved up the all-time record book.

On Friday, Shaffmaster notched her 1,377th career kill, passing Dani Nyenhuis for the 10th-most kills of all time. After 25 kills against Miami, she has 1,402 total. On Sunday, Shaffmaster passed Tori Seibert (1996-99) with her 134th career service ace. The senior now sits at sixth all-time.
