Seven Land On Men's Soccer All-ACC Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Seven North Carolina men's soccer players have been named to the 2023 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team, announced by the league Thursday morning.
The Tar Heels selected to the team include Ahmad Al-Qaq, Ernest Bawa, Juan Caffaro, Charlie Harper, Parker O'Ferral, Riley Thomas and Sam Williams.
To be named to the All-ACC Academic Team, student-athletes must have at least a 3.0 grade-point average for the fall semester and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Additionally, those selected must have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
This marks the third-straight season earning ACC academic honors for Thomas, with Al-Qaq and Williams earning recognition for the second year in a row. Additionally, today's announcement is the second academic honor of the offseason for Thomas, previously earning Scholar All-America recognition in December.
