16 Women’s Soccer Players Named To All-ACC Academic Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Sixteen University of North Carolina women's soccer players have been named to the 2023 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team, as announced by the league Thursday afternoon.
The Tar Heels who earned the academic honor include Emmie Allen, Maycee Bell, Emily Colton, Maddie Dahlien, Talia Dellaperuta, Tessa Dellarose, Emerson Elgin, Kate Faasse, Savy King, Sam Meza, Mia Oliaro, Avery Patterson, Melina Rebimbas, Bella Sember, Ally Sentnor and Evelyn Shores.
Meza garnered All-ACC Academic Team accolades each of her four seasons in Chapel Hill. Colton and Patterson received recognition for the third time in their career, while this is the second such honor for Allen, Dahlien, Dellaperuta, Dellarose, Elgin, Faasse, Sember and Sentnor.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade-point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
