March 20, 2024 | Fencing
COLUMBUS, OH. – Sophia Kovacs and Elden Wood will represent the North Carolina Fencing team this week at the 2024 NCAA Championships in Columbus, Ohio. Kovacs, a redshirt junior, and Wood, a sophomore, will both compete in sabre.
This is Kovacs' second year in a row competing in the NCAA Championships, while this is the first time Wood has qualified.
The two join a field of 144 competitors who will participate in the championships, hosted by Ohio State in the French Field House from March 21-24, 2024.

All round robin rounds will be in French Field House, and the semis and finals will be in St. John Arena.
Ohio State will have video streams of each strip for round robin on their website and ESPN+ will stream the semi and final rounds.
