Tar Heels Sweep Clemson, 4-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- In its final match before spring break, the No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels (13-2, 6-0) defeated the Clemson Tigers (9-7, 1-5), 4-0.
In doubles action, Elizabeth Scotty and Carson Tanguilig quickly gave Carolina the doubles point edge with a 6-2 victory on court one. A few moments later, Fiona Crawley and Reilly Tran clinched the doubles point for the Tar Heels after the pair won 6-1 on court two.
Prior to singles play beginning, Clemson opted to play with only five singles players. By rule, Carolina and the player on court six is awarded a victory by forfeit.
With a 2-0 lead, four Tar Heels won their first singles set to maintain North Carolina's momentum.
On courts one and two, Elizabeth Scotty and Fiona Crawley won in straight sets to give Carolina its third and match-clinching fourth points.

The Tar Heels will be off until March 22nd for spring break. After the break, Carolina will travel to Raleigh to face the NC State Wolfpack, followed by a trip to Durham to battle the Duke Blue Devils.
