Pro Heels: NWSL Week Three Roundup

The third week of the 2024 National Women's Soccer League season was highlighted by another goal from Ally Sentnor and Brianna Pinto's first goal of the year.
Angel City FC

Angel City FC dropped a 4-2 decision to Kansas City Current CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Nielsen started the match and made a crucial stop in the 27th minute.
Bay FC

Pinto was named the team's Player of the Match for her efforts.
Portland Thorns

After Racing Louisville jumped out to a 2-0 lead six minutes in, the Portland Thorns stormed back for a 2-2 draw at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon. Klingenberg, a defender, made her season debut after subbing in at the start of the second half and playing the rest of the match. She registered a shot on goal in the 51st minute which was ultimately denied by Racing's keeper.
Seattle Reign FC

Seattle Reign FC fell, 1-0, to San Diego Wave at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California. Dickey was named the team's Player of the Match after recording four saves. She has earned the starting role in all three games this season.
Utah Royals

The Utah Royals dropped a 2-1 decision to Washington Spirit at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. Sentnor scored the lone goal for the Royals in the 71st minute to cut the deficit in half. Sentnor, who earned a spot in the starting lineup for the third week in a row, logged a full 90 minutes. The No. 1 draft pick has now scored in back-to-back matches.
