
Carolina Caps Off Senior Day With 4-0 Victory

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- After celebrating the most decorated women's tennis senior class in UNC history, the No. 6 North Carolina Tar Heels (17-3, 10-1) defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies (8-10, 3-8), 4-0 in Chapel Hill.
Transitioning to doubles play, Carson Tanguilig and Elizabeth Scotty quickly gave Carolina the doubles advantage after the tandem won, 6-3. Later, on court two, Fiona Crawley and Reilly Tran clinched the doubles point for the Tar Heels with a 6-2 victory.
In singles play, the Tar Heels won five of six first sets. Then, on court one, Fiona Crawley won 6-4, 6-1 to give Carolina its second point of the match. Moments later, on court five, Abbey Forbes won 6-2, 6-3 to add to UNC's lead. Finally, on court four, Anika Yarlagadda won 6-0, 6-3 to clinch the match for North Carolina.
