The eighth week of the 2024 National Women's Soccer League season was highlighted by Paige Nielsen scoring the game-winning goal for Houston Dash against her former club team.

Prior to Sunday's win, the Dash dropped a 1-0 match to Gotham FC on Wednesday. Nielsen made 13 clearances and logged a full game while Patterson subbed in during the 46th minute.
