Ten current and future Carolina field hockey players have been selected for the upcoming 2024 Senior Nexus Championship (NXC), presented by Osaka Hockey. The event is set for July 14-16 at the Virginia Beach Regional Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va.

The annual event includes 144 collegiate and post-collegiate players. Tar Heels selected are Charly Bruder, Molly Catchpole, Coco Courtright, Katie Dixon, Avery Donahue, Hope Haynes, Alli Meehan, Ava Meehan, Abigail Taylor and Melea Weber.

Courtright, Donahue, Ava Meehan and Weber are part of the incoming class while the rest are returning players.

A step along the Olympic Development Pathway program, the Senior NXC serves as a selection opportunity for the 2024-25 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team Selection Camps, Junior USWNT Selection Camps, U.S. Women's National Development Squad and U.S. Women's National Team.
