Six Diamond Heels Named To All-ACC Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Six members of the UNC baseball team have been named to the 2024 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced Friday afternoon.
Junior outfielder Vance Honeycutt earned a spot on the team for the third consecutive year, while sophomores Casey Cook, Matthew Matthijs and Kyle Percival were recognized for the second straight season. Freshmen Gavin Gallaher and Luke Stevenson were also named to the team in their initial season.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's educational career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests and 20 percent of their team's contests as a pitcher.
