Wright & Djakouris Post Wins Tuesday In Tulsa

TULSA, OKLA.—Tar Heels Anthony Wright and Constantinos Djakouris both posted singles wins on Tuesday at the ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
Wright advanced past teammate Patrick Schoen on Tuesday in the qualifying draw. With the victory, Wright continues his solid week that started in the pre-qualifying draw and now moves on to the main draw, which begins Wednesday.
Wright was leading Schoen, 3-0, in their second-round qualifying draw match when Schoen withdrew due to injury. Wright will face Max Sheldon from Michigan State in the round of 16. He is one of only two Atlantic Coast Conference to advance from the pre-qualifying singles draw into the main draw in Tulsa.
Djakouris saw his first action as a Tar Heel in the qualifying consolation draw. He beat Ishaan Ravichander of LSU in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, to move on to the round of 16.
In doubles qualifying draw action, Luciano Tacchi and Luca Pow of Wake Forest defeated Logan Zapp and Schoen in a third-set tiebreaker, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6)
