Men's Soccer Ties St. John's, 2-2, Friday Night

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The 12th-ranked North Carolina men's soccer team (3-0-2) and St. John's (2-1-2) battled to a 2-2 draw, Friday evening in nonconference play at Dorrance Field.
How It Happened
• Charlie Harper's header attempt in the eighth minute was halted.
• In the 14th, Luke Hille sent a header into the top right corner, giving the Tar Heels a 1-0 lead.
• St. John's tied the match at one-all in the 31st minute, as Nigel Griffith dished to Miguel Diaz.
• After the halftime break, Hille's second shot on goal of the night was saved by the Red Storm's goalkeeper.
• Just two minutes later in the 54th, Brady Geho gave St. John's the lead, finding the bottom right corner of the goal.
• The following minute, Ahmad Al-Qaq had back-to-back shot attempts stopped.
• With three minutes remaining, Lucas Ross snuck an attempt past the St. John's keeper, tying the match at two.
