Wrestling Hosts NC State In Top-20 Matchup

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The 18th-ranked North Carolina wrestling team hosts No. 6 NC State Friday night, in a top-20 battle for first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference.Â

• Friday's dual between the Tar Heels and Wolfpack is a Carolina Blue Out, with the first 400 fans receiving a free Carolina wrestling t-shirt.Â

• Carolina students in attendance will be entered to win two tickets to the UNC vs. Duke basketball game and a free semester of tuition.Â

• On January 8, head coach Rob Koll announced the addition of Stanford transfer, Charlie Darracott, as a projected 165-pounder for the Tar Heels.
• During his time at Stanford wrestling at 157 pounds, Darracott collected 45 victories in four seasons, including back-to-back 18-win seasons in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
• A product of Buford, Ga., Darracott was a three-time Georgia state champion and four-time state finalist.Â
