Vázquez Montaño Earns Second ACC Honor Of The Season

Charlotte, N.C. – On Tuesday, Jan. 7, graduate student Aranza Vázquez Montaño earned her second Atlantic Coast Conference accolade of the season. The ACC named Vázquez Montaño the Women's Diver of the Week.
Tuesday's honor is Vázquez Montaño's 16th career weekly conference award.
Vázquez Montaño highlighted the University of Georgia Diving Invitational, the first meet of 2025 for the Tar Heels. The graduate student advanced to the finals every day of the meet, posting wins in the 1M and 3M. She also notched a second-place finish in the platform.
Up Next: North Carolina Swim and Dive will take on Duke on Friday, Jan. 10, in Chapel Hill at 5:00 p.m. EST. The team will honor the graduating seniors in a pregame ceremony. Fans can follow the results live on Meet Mobile.
