Men’s Soccer Makes It Six Straight Unbeaten, Downing Louisville 1-0

LOUISVILLE, KY. – University of North Carolina men's soccer team improved its unbeaten run to six with a 1-0 win over Louisville at Lynn Stadium on Friday night. The Heels got an early goal from Gabriel Bracken Serra in the 10th minute and largely controlled the match throughout. Goalkeeper Andrew Cordes came up with three big saves to post his third clean sheet in the last four matches.
The Tar Heels improved to 5-1-4 (1-0-4 ACC), while the Cardinals now sit at 5-4-1 (1-4-0 ACC).

- 12' – Nacho Abeal has a shot saved and Czech puts home the rebound but was ruled offsides.
- 19' – Carolina earned its first corner of the match but nothing came of it.
- 34' – A clear hand ball in the box is waived away after VAR review, denying a penalty for the Heels.
- 37' – Lucas Ross gets a strike on goal but isn't able to beat Louisville's keeper.
- 45' – Louisville's Fernando Sanchez picks up a yellow for a two-footed challenge.
- 47' – Heels earn a free kick but Luca Nikolai's cross is claimed by the Louisville keeper.
- 50' – Louisville works a training-ground free kick but Chase Vazquez put it wide off the outside of the far post.
- 64' – Louisville got in but Andrew Cordes got his arm to an Elijah Brijbasi shot and followed with another save.
