Safi Hampton Named ACC Offensive Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Safi Hampton has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week, the ACC announced Monday afternoon.

Hampton exploded in two sweeps of Duke this week, totaling 28 kills on a .509 hitting percentage with only one error. Her 16 kill, 0 error performance on Saturday against Duke saw her hit a career-best .615 guiding the Tar Heels to a sweep on the road.

The junior was named to the AVCA 2025 Player of the Year Watch List last week and has had a career year to this point. She leads the team in points (189.5), points per set (4.12), kills (177), kills per set (3.85), and hitting percentage with a minimum of 50 attempts (.310).
