Thomas Named ACC Co-Offensive Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced their women's soccer weekly award honorees Tuesday afternoon. Olivia Thomas from University of North Carolina women's soccer was named ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week. Thomas is the first Tar Heel to earn a weekly award from the ACC this season.
Thomas earns the nod after posting two goals, three assists, and seven points while helping Carolina go 2-0 last week. Most notably, the forward had a hand in all three goals that the Tar Heels scored in their win over Pitt. Thomas recorded one goal while dishing out two assists to help facilitate the offense for her teammates.
The Gross Pointe, Mich. native has been an offensive powerhouse for UNC this season. Thomas leads the team with 11 total goals and 27 points.
Since conference play began, Thomas has recorded four goals while scoring in four of the Tar Heels' five ACC matchups.
