LEXINGTON, KY. – Carolina volleyball checks in at No. 15 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll the AVCA announced Monday afternoon. The ranking is the highest since the Tar Heels were ranked No. 11 in the preseason poll in 2017.

UNC is coming off its first top 10 win since 2016 after toppling No. 7 SMU in Carmichael Arena on Friday night. UNC then squared off in a five-set thriller on Sunday against No. 4 Pitt. The Tar Heels are now 17-4 and sit at 10-2 in ACC play just a game behind first place.

UNC now heads to California for its first ever west coast ACC trip. The Tar Heels will take on No. 5 Stanford and California on Friday and Sunday.
