Women’s Tennis To Host ITA Sectionals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's tennis is set to host the Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Sectional Nov. 6-9 at Chewning Tennis Center.
Alana Boyce, Alanis Hamilton and Theadora Rabman will be the three Tar Heels competing in singles starting Thursday at 10 a.m.
Carolina will also have two doubles competing this weekend. Alana Boyce and Tatum Evans will open the weekend in doubles play Thursday at 1:30 p.m. followed by a match featuring Claire Hill and Theadora Rabman at 2:45 p.m.
ITA Sectionals
ITA Sectionals will take place at four different sections/sites across the country. Sectionals is also an opportunity for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Doubles and Singles Championships. This tournament will qualify six singles players from each section (semifinalists and two quarterfinal playoff winners) while three doubles teams from each section will qualify (champion, finalist, and third place).
