CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The 23rd-ranked North Carolina wrestling program opens its dual portion of the 2025-26 campaign this Sunday, hosting Northern Colorado in the Tar Heels' home opener.

Last Time Out
• Last weekend, the Tar Heels opened the season at the Southeast Open, with 11 Carolina wrestlers finishing on the podium.
• Jacob Levy was victorious at 285-pounds in the freshman/sophomore division, collecting four bonus-point victories on the day. In addition to Levy, Matthew Botello (5th at 133) and Luke Sipes (3rd at 165) placed in the freshman/sophomore division.
• In the open division, Luke Simcox finished runner-up at 141-pounds, with seven additional Tar Heels finishing in the top-six.

All-Time Versus Northern Colorado
• Carolina in 3-0 all-time versus the Bears, winning the matchups by a combined score of 79-43.
