Munson & Thomas Named To TopDrawerSoccer Best XI Teams

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- TopDrawerSoccer released their Women's Soccer Postseason Awards and Best XI Teams Tuesday afternoon. Two Tar Heels, Hope Munson and Olivia Thomas, were featured on this year's Best XI Teams. Munson landed on the Freshman Second Team while Thomas was tabbed Best XI Third Team.
Munson capped off her freshman season earning ACC All-Freshman Team honors. The Holladay, Utah native was one of just two freshmen to start in 20 or more matches. Munson played all 90+ minutes in 12 matches while dishing out three assists and defensively contributing to six of Carolina's shutouts this season.
Thomas has continued to bring in postseason accolades after leading the UNC offense this season. The forward recorded a team-leading 13 goals on 94 shots and 33 points. Thomas has been named Third Team All-America, First Team All-ACC, and Second Team All-Atlantic Region. This marks the first time in the junior's career where she's been named All-America and All-Region and earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer Best XI Teams.
