Women’s Soccer Welcomes Three Tar Heels

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's soccer and head coach Damon Nahas announced the addition of three Tar Heels for the upcoming season. The trio of midfielders and defender will bring experience and depth as they compete at UNC in their final year of eligibility.
Lilliah Blum heads to Chapel Hill after playing the past three seasons at the University of Utah. The midfielder led the Utes with four goals including the game-winner against NC State last season. While at Utah, Blum made 57 appearances with 55 starts compiling seven goals and nine assists. Prior to college, the Verona, Wis. native was a Second Team All-State and United Soccer Coaches All-Region honoree.
Summer Denigan joins the Tar Heels after a standout career at Georgia. The midfielder recently wrapped up an impressive junior campaign where she was named a MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, First Team All-America, First Team All-Southeast Region, First Team All-SEC, and TopDrawerSoccer Best XI Third Team. Denigan was also ranked no. 30 in the TopDrawerSoccer Postseason Top 100 List. As a Bulldog, Denigan appeared in 64 matches with 54 starts tallying 22 goals and 49 points. The Union, Ky. native netted 11 goals in 2025 becoming the first Georgia player in four seasons to record 10 plus goals in a single season.
Izzi Stratton rounds out the incoming transfers for Carolina. The defender heads to Chapel Hill for her senior season after previously competing at BYU. Stratton was recently tabbed Second Team All-Big 12, Second Team All-Midwest Region, and Big 12 All-Tournament. The Alpine, Utah native was an anchor for the Cougars' defense last season racking up a team-leading 1,900 minutes on the pitch and received Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career. In her sophomore season, Stratton was named to the NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team. Throughout her career at BYU, the defender appeared in 68 matches with 66 starts.
