Rodriguez Named ACC Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After a massive 12 RBI week, Kat Rodriguez has been named ACC Player of the Week, the league announced this afternoon.
The Pembroke Pines, Fla. native hit a stellar .526 with an on-base percentage of .591 across six games last week, guiding UNC to a perfect 6-0 record. She had multiple RBI in four of the six games this past week, including a four RBI game against Princeton on Feb. 15. This is the first time in her career that she has taken home ACC Player of the Week honors.Â
Rodriguez currently leads the team in batting average (.457), hits (16), RBI (17), doubles (7), and total bases (23).
The Tar Heels have a 9-2 record and are riding a six game winning streak into their matchup with South Carolina tonight at 6 p.m.
